I am a registered psychologist who is caring, empathetic, and non-judgemental. I provide a welcoming, comfortable and respectful environment where you will feel safe to explore and discuss your current issues and concerns. I will work collaboratively with you to establish your counselling goals and to work towards a positive outcome for you.
I offer an eclectic approach to my sessions and tailor them to your individual needs. I am trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Schema Therapy (ST), Gottman Couples Marital Therapy, EMDR, Trauma Focussed Therapy, and Christian Counselling.
I work with clients 18+ years and my areas of interest are anxiety and panic disorders, stress management, work/study stress, PTSD, complex trauma, adjustment disorders, attachment and relationship issues, and spirituality issues.
I have had 17 years working as a counsellor and then a psychologist, I have gained my experience working in community counselling centres, vocational rehabilitation services, schools, and in private practice. I have lived experiences and have worked in other careers that enrich my role as a psychologist.
I am extremely passionate about life balance and offer a holistic approach to my sessions. I explore lifestyle factors such as sleep, exercise and diet and embrace a developmental approach to my sessions as I believe that what you have experienced throughout your lifespan will have relevance on how you are managing and responding to issues and concerns today.
I am a member of Australian Psychological Society (APS) and EMDR Association of Australia (EMDRAA)
When I am not at work I enjoys bush walking, reading, travelling, spending time with family and attending church.
